The way I see the suggestion it's not so much about auto-picking gold as it is about minis having other utility than just e-peen flexing in outposts. Thus /signed because it would be pretty funny to watch minis get a run for their money

yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes ! so cute.
if I may, we have to train them to pick up the gold hehehe, and after training, if you put them on a gold picking up "mission" they will have a backpack mounted onto them. Does not "physically" gives you extra storage, just something visually entertaining.

There are interface options already available such as that that make this game very easy to perform certain functions. People just don't know about them. Rather then requesting minipets get a function, I suggest people just learn how to use the existing interface to its full efficiency.

good point, and i agree, but if the devs get some time on their hands from all the money sink titles, this cant hurt. its a computer game, its permeated with laziness no matter how u spin it.
besides, Fredrick the titan needs a day job

Also, higher-end minis should pick up the gold faster (A mini-Necrid Horsmen picks up 1 pile every 5 seconds, while a mini panda catches them before they hit the ground ^.^). If highend minis wern't expensive enough...

Lol someone gets it. Thank you.
Enough with the "I want it to pick up items cause I died and can't reach em."
I can see a mini pet lugging around a few loose coins more than I can see em lugging around a few 75 lb shields and other items. I just wanna give them some purpose other than to look pretty. Can anyone think of a more useful/useless purpose for minis to serve?

minipets are extremely useless and not worth the money.
they should get this feature and a few other things.

played a game that had your mini pet pick up ALL your loot, that was convenient. at least we will not see the random person leeroying or staying behind for drops.. its especially bad if its a monk haha
how it worked is that as soon as your inventory would be full, you would get a messege "inventory full" and the pet would pick up only gold from that point, untill you make space in inv.
but even if it is only gold, it would still be cool.

Ah I should mention that a mod added the poll but I hope everyone understands that "Gold Drops" just means loose change and should not be confused with items. Mini's picking up items would be unbalanced and is not my goal in my thread. Mini's picking up loose change, nothing more nothing less.

Not that ANet would ever make something useless into a practical feature.

Do this in GW2. It's a waste of time putting the effort to making this happen in GW1.

Someone's already suggested that you "train" your minis to pick up gold. After some reflection this actually sounds like a good idea. Perhaps make a cross campaign trip to gain the ability or knowledge to teach your minis to pick up loose change. GW players get a practical use for minis and Anet's got another reason to encourage players to get each game and the expansion.

Brought up before, won't happen. Anet want minipets to have a cosmetic value only.
